Executive Team

Tom Kelly, President and CEO
Tom is a veteran of the technology industry, with more than 25 years of experience working in numerous executive leadership roles. From software start-ups to billion-dollar technology companies, he has an established reputation of leadership in a wide range of executive management roles including strategic business development, sales, finance and operations. Tom's experience includes a special emphasis on high-growth organizations.
Tom was CEO of Epicor Software (Nasdaq:EPIC), where he also served on its board of directors for eight years. He has been the CEO of MontaVista Software (acquired by Cavium Networks, Nasdaq:CAVM), Bluestar Solutions (acquired by Affiliated Computer Services, NYSE:ACS) and Blaze Software (Nasdaq:BLZE, acquired by Brokat Systems). He has led companies through rapid growth, successful IPOs and strategic acquisitions.
Previously Tom held executive positions at Cirrus Logic (COO), Frame Technology (EVP) and Cadence Design Systems (CFO). Tom holds a B.S. degree in economics from Santa Clara University. He serves on the Board of Directors of FEI Company (Nasdaq:FEIC) and the Santa Clara University Board of Regents.

Sanjay Uppal, SVP, Chief Financial Officer
Sanjay Uppal brings 30 years of experience in financial and accounting management to his role as CFO for Moxie Software, with significant experience in the software and services sector.
He most recently served as the CFO for Montavista Software Inc, a privately held embedded linux company that was sold to Cavium Networks. Prior to Montavista, Sanjay served as the CFO/Vice President of Finance for KSR, Continuent, Bluestar Solutions, Extensil, and Challenger Systems, where he was responsible for financial and accounting functions, developing strategic plans and leading several rounds of funding efforts.
Prior to that, Sanjay spent over 10 years at Amdahl Corporation, where he held a variety of senior finance roles. Early in his career, Sanjay was an analyst in the M&A group of Coopers & Lybrand and an auditor with KPMG.
Sanjay is a Chartered Accountant and has an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh, and a BA from the University of Bombay. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

David Boyer, SVP, Products
David Boyer is Senior Vice President of product development at Moxie Software and has more than 20 years of technology expertise in delivering products that meet market and customers' expectations. In this role, he will lead the product vision and strategy for SpacesTM by Moxie, the most comprehensive suite of customer and employee facing applications, including knowledge as a core part of the product offering. David brings a wealth of knowledge to Moxie Software and has a long history in technology and product development, leading several teams — most recently at BroadVision — where he was responsible for development and support of all product lines, including Portal, Commerce and the Enterprise Collaboration Platform. David holds a Master of Sciences degree from Indiana University.

Jeff Mabry, VP, Worldwide Professional Services
Jeff Mabry is Vice President of Worldwide Professional Services at Moxie Software and has more than 20 years of experience in Software Services, Information Technology and Management Consulting. In his role, Jeff leads Global Professional Services sales and delivery for Moxie. Jeff brings a long successful history of technology services leadership in a wide range of industries including High-Tech, Financial Services, Entertainment and Management Consulting. Prior to joining Moxie, Jeff led the Western Region’s Professional Services team at InQuira Software and later at Oracle (post acquisition). Prior to that, Jeff was Vice President of Strategic Services for Callidus Software where he led a diverse group of internationally focused and profitable services businesses. He holds a BS from Auburn University and an MBA from Pepperdine University.

Nikhil Govindaraj, VP, Products
Nikhil Govindaraj is Vice President of Products at Moxie Software. In this role Nikhil is responsible for all aspects of Product Management and Engineering including strategy, design, development and quality assurance. Nikhil brings Moxie more than 13 years of experience in contact center management. Nikhil joined Moxie Software, then Talisma, in 2000 and has served in several key roles within the organization including Product Management and Sales Engineering. Nikhil earned his MBA in Systems and Marketing from Symbiosis, India.

Tara Sporrer, VP, Marketing and Sales Operations
Tara brings over 15 years of business experience as a customer operations and marketing professional in the enterprise software industry. In her role with Moxie Software, Tara is responsible for delivering corporate communications and marketing programs to positively impact the company's market presence, revenue achievement, and profitability.
Prior to joining Moxie, Tara served as Director of Worldwide Customer Operations, Alliance Management, and Web Marketing at Talisma Corporation. Here she was responsible for the company's customer experience, partner development, and Web presence. Prior to her work at Talisma, Tara was responsible for Customer and Sales Operations at eAssist Global Solutions where she provided enterprise-wide development and support for critical sales and marketing functions. Additionally, Tara managed several key retail accounts including Deal Time, Esprit, and Estee Lauder as Account Director of Web marketing companies Epidemic Marketing and Double-Click.

David Spitzler, VP, Business Development
David Spitzler is Vice President of Business Development for Moxie Software and brings 20 years of broad experience with technology companies, ranging from start-ups to global leaders. He leads Moxie's efforts to build strategic relationships with channel, product, and joint marketing partners that drive new business opportunities. Before coming to Moxie, David held senior business development and marketing roles at Adobe Systems, NeXT Computer, Sonic Software, and Sybase. He also was involved in starting two pioneering companies: Bigstep.com, one of the first small business e-commerce solution providers, and Swell Software, a developer of web authoring tools that he co-founded and sold to Adobe Systems in 1996. David has served on the board of several Bay Area nonprofits, including TechSoup and CompuMentor. He holds a B.A. from Boston College.
